What does curiosity have to do with purpose?
Pursuing curiosity brings you closer to your values, passions and personal gifts.
More simply, curiosity is a shortcut to connecting more deeply with a rewarding life of purpose!
According to author Richard Leider in his book The Power of Purpose, our curiosities – the things we care deeply about – become our passions.
We feel most alive when we work for causes that are vital to us. Our passions never stop reappearing in our thinking and experience.
And when we recognize the pattern of their occurrence, it’s time to pay attention!
Curiosity Prompts
What are you curious about? Tap your curiosity to connect more deeply with meaningful purpose in your life!
-
What big needs are you concerned about? If you started a businesses or project to help solve the need, what would you do?
-
What subjects do you like to study? What hands skills do you want to learn?
-
Who would you like to have a deep discussion with?
-
If you had one million dollars that had to be designated for a cause, how would you use it?
-
What interests you and captures your attention and enthusiasm?
Follow the curiosity path for great rewards.
I was curious about meditation’s benefits for greater focus. My ears were open to learning more when a friend introduced me to community meditation.
Finding great benefits in just a little practice, I became interested in sharing meditation with others.
I began leading meditation sessions for young women recovering from addictions. I find seeing the benefits spread to others deeply rewarding.
What piques your curiosity? More importantly, what will you do with it once you recognize it?
Let your curiosity continue to guide you. Being mindful of what sparks your fire of curiosity can lead you to places of purpose and a life of greater personal meaning.
